William "Bill" H. Lake's Obituary
William H. “Bill” Lake, age 80, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in Grand Haven. Bill was born on March 8, 1941 in Owosso, MI to William and Emma (Nott) Lake. He was a graduate of Muskegon High School in 1959 and then Western Michigan University School of Business. Bill worked for Etna Supply for 18 years, prior to retiring in the 2006. He was an elder at both Zion Lutheran Church and St. John’s Lutheran Church and was strong in his faith. Bill was an avid stamp collector, and loved many sports including baseball, basketball and cross country. He was also a car collector especially loving Corvettes. Bill enjoyed nature and was an avid hiker whenever he could. On July 29, 1961 he married the former Marie Englund and she survives him along with three children, Inger (Perry) Bergman, Christine (David) Wildrom, and Skip (Keturah) Lake; five grandchildren, TJ (Jenna), Emily (Aaron), Alex, Naomi and Noelle; brother, Bob (Pat Hesling) Lake; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The Lake family would like to thank Grand Pines Assisted Living and Life Circles for their care. A Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 20, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100.
