I met Bill when I moved into my house over 30 years ago, He and Marian walked passed my house and welcomed me to the neighborhood. He seemed to always be walking or driving by when my lawn mower wouldn't start. He would always start it for me. Another story I have was at my grandfathers visitation. Bill walked in and I walked up to him and asked how he knew my grandfather, He told me it was back when he applied to the police academy. He needed a suit for the interview and could not fine one. My grandfather worked at Hoslers clothing store and he told Bill he had one for him. It needed alterations but he needed it the next day and alterations usually took a week. Grandpa told him to come back in an hour and it would be done. Bill came back and picked it up. He was nervous and grandpa told him that he would make it, because he had the best suit in Muskegon and he had what it took to be a great police officer. Grandpa was right. Bill came to my grandfathers visitation just hoping that he would find someone he knew so he could share this story with them, He Credits my grandfather for giving him the confidence he needed. Thank you for sharing that with our family because you were truly a great police officer. I miss you waliking past my house. Rest in Peace dear neighbor.

Bill & Barb, So Sorry To Hear Of Your Dad's Passing. Please Know We Are Thinking Of You All. Jim & Lisa(Kisosondi) Hall
Bill and Marian were the perfect neighbors for all so many years "up north"... A great fella with wonderful stories and time to talk... I will miss him... Never will forget the time he "Huckleberry Finned" me into splitting a load of firewood back at the woods camp... as he said " well... I've never split wood before".... what a great laugh he had on me and how much I laughed... when I was finally brought up to speed.... that weasel.... ha ha.. This man lived a good life, took care of his family and did his duty.... He will be missed by many... Godspeed my friend... Roger + Kathy from "Up North"...
