William Charles Bonham's Obituary
Mr. William Charles Bonham, age 73, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 3, 2018 at his home in North Muskegon. He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on December 9, 1944 to Earl and Matillda (Chisom) Bonham. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army and served on the 82nd Airborne Unit. He had worked for General Motors for 32 years prior to his retirement in 1995. Bill attended New Heart Community Church. He spent many years training race horses, had a fondness for bulldogs, was an avid University of Michigan fan, and enjoyed wintering in Donna, Texas with his wife. On August 9, 2009, Bill married the former Candace Hoekenga and she survives him along with a son, Thomas Bonham; two step-daughters, Lyndsey Zito and Lisa Hocutt Voydanoff; grandsons, Gage, Ian and Cody; and sister, Barb (Jim) Nevers. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Bonham. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 17, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Pastor Ron Amos officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS in Bill’s memory may be directed to New Heart Community Church.
