Mr. William Scott "Bill" Bostrom's Obituary
Mr. William Scott “Bill” Bostrom, age 53, went to be with his Lord, Monday morning, December 17, 2012. He was born September 30, 1959 in Muskegon to Ronald and Carol (Hommes) Bostrom. Bill was a graduate of Muskegon High School. He worked for the Muskegon Public School system as a custodian for 30 years and was affectionately known by all the children as “Mr. Bill”. Bill was a strong man of faith, and a member of Mona Shores Baptist Church, where he was active. He was an avid Muskegon Big Reds fan, Red Wings fan, and a Lions fan when they were winning. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and eating perch dinners. Bill also loved his dogs, Sugar and Ella. On September 16, 1995 he married Lori Lynn McMahon in Muskegon and she survives him along with 3 children, Kara (Brandon) Young, Megan and Hannah Bostrom; step-daughter, Cecelia Bosma; sisters, Barb (Mike) Woudwyk, Rondi (Kyle) Buris; grandmother, Dorothea Ruiter; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Sharon McMahon; 2 brothers-in-law, Jim (Kathy) McMahon, Tom (Kim) McMahon; many nieces and nephews; and many, many, friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 21, 2012, at the Mona Shores Baptist Church (3800 Lake Harbor Rd.) with Rev. Thomas Siefert officiating. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565.
