Bill, your memory will live forever, as a very wonderful family man..........................Connie Cliff Johnson
I think I was about 11 or 12 years old. My grandpa and I were on the highway headed towards Grand Rapids. I believe we were going to some type of lawn- care store in Marne. He missed his exit and proceeded to reverse on the highway saying: "Whoops! Missed my exit..." Love you Pops. You will always be loved and remembered. -Melissa Gerstenfeld
All of us at The Pool & Spa Doctors are saddened by the loss of one of our most beloved customers! We've had a long relationship with Bill and it just won't be the same without him! Loved working with him and all his 'kids' over the years! Will never forget when he brought in pictures of the pool totally green after a deer had swum a few laps!
Mr. C was a wonderful man, father and scoutmaster. I am so glad that he was able to be a part of my life and along with my family, shape my life. I enjoyed growing up in the neighborhood with his family. I have so many memories of Mr. C from the yearly fireworks, to swimming, fishing and boating at the lot on the lake. He will be greatly missed and my thoughts and prayers goes out to Mrs. C, the kids and all of his extended family. He was truly a great man.

I had Mr.Closz as a principle at Jolman Elementary School. One winter we had got caught throwing snowballs at recess time. Well before we knew it we were being marched to Mr.Closz's office and boy did he give us a lecture. When he talked you did pay attention. Well before it was over we all got the paddle. I was the only girl and the rest were boys so I thought well he isn't going to paddle me because I was a girl. Surprise to me I got it just like the boys did. I never threw another snowball. Much respect for him. Mr. C;osz may you rest in peace. Janine Ruby/Russell
My son was in troop 1053 a few years ago & the troop had the good fortune of having him involved. He was very dedicated to scouting & always willing to help out in any way & listen. My son needed a belt & a shirt & he gave them to him. He was trully an inspiration. Sorry to hear of his passing. ...
You will not be forgotten by us. We remember the fireworks and scouting the most. May God continue to bless mary and her family.

I was a Boy Scout in Troop 1053 under the leadership of Mr. Closz, and he was an inspiration in my life. I learned a great deal about life and how to live it through Mr. Closz, and to him I am eternally greatful. I am sorry about his passing and my deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.
