Mr. William Albert Cornell's Obituary
William “Bill” Albert Cornell, age 85, passed away on Sunday May 1, 2016. Bill was born on August 2, 1930 to Benjamin and Virgie Cornell. In 1951 he married the former Greta Songer and they enjoyed over 50 years of marriage until her passing in 2009. Bill worked as a pipefitter and welder with the Union Local 157. He was a member of the Church of God United. Bill enjoyed staying busy tinkering with tools and working with his hands. The church was very important to him and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a gentle, hard-working individual who will be deeply missed. Bill is survived by his 3 sons, William (Dawn), Anthony and Jason Cornell; 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Greta; parents; and several brothers and sisters. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 3pm at the Church of God United 1630 Harvey St.
