Mr. William Roland Doctor's Obituary
Mr. William “Bill” Roland Doctor, age 83, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013. He was born May 31, 1929 in Muskegon to Roland and Ila (Baker) Braun. At a young age his father Roland passed away and his mother married Dirk Doctor who adopted and raised him. Bill worked for Sears 42 years retiring in 1990. On June 9, 1949 he married Donna Lou Beal and they enjoyed almost 64 years together. He was a deacon and elder at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church, a youth leader for many years, and coached Laketon Pee Wee Football. Bill was a North Muskegon Volunteer Fireman for 25 years and a member of the Dragon Wagon’s Trailer Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Bill is SURVIVED by his wife; children, David A. (Sherri Kempf) Doctor, Steven W. (Nancy) Doctor, David C. (Mary) Bogue, Edward L. (Sandi) Doctor; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, James R. Doctor. He was PRECEDED in death by his parents; brother, Donald Doctor. The MEMORIAL service will be 11 AM Friday, May 31, 2013 at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church, 1568 West Giles Rd., North Muskegon, MI 49445, with Rev. Dr. Sherwin Brantsen officiating. The VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the memorial service at church.
