William C. "Bill" Eder's Obituary
Mr. William C. Eder, 93, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 12, 2012, at his home. Born May 7, 1918 in Muskegon Heights to Carl and Anna (Hotwagner) Eder, he was a life resident of the Muskegon area. Mr. Eder had been employed at Sealed Power Corp. for more than 37 years before retiring in 1979, and was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He married the former Evelyn M. Grover on October 2, 1948, and she passed away May 18, 1998. Mr. Eder was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Mona Shores Cribbage Players at the Norton Shores Library. HIS SURVIVORS include a daughter, Marcy (Roger) Dreikorn of Muskegon; two grandchildren: Elizabeth and Stephen Dreikorn; and a sister, Viola (Richard) Buck of Oakland, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Evelyn, two sisters: Ann Keefer and Gizella Eder, and a brother Frank Eder. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL for Mr. Eder will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Brown as Celebrant, and interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be Monday, April 16, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441; phone 231-759-8565 and 10-11 AM Tuesday at the Church. The ROSARY will be prayed at 6 PM Monday at the funeral home.
