William J. "Bill" Engelhard's Obituary
William J. “Bill” Engelhard, age 72, passed away Saturday morning, February 25, 2023. He was born April 9, 1950 in Muskegon to William R. and Katherine (Gary) Engelhard. Following graduation from Mona Shores High School, he enlisted in the Air Force serving his country in the Vietnam War and was stationed in Thailand. Bill worked as a cook for Denny’s, retiring after 40 years of service. He was a great cook and Denny’s would have him travel the country teaching and training new cooks. Bill was an avid NFL fan, especially the Detroit Lions. He loved football stats and all things surrounding the Super Bowl. He was also well versed in WWII history. SURVIVORS include his brother: Tom (Jeannine) Engelhard of Allendale; sisters: Cathy (Dan) Alvesteffer of Muskegon, Mary (James) Curcuru of Fountain, MI, and Martha (Tom) Tutak of Norton Shores; and several nieces and nephews. According to Bill’s wishes, there will be no services. MEMORIALS to the Wounded Warrior Project will be appreciated.
