William Robert Green's Obituary
Mr. William Robert Green, age 74, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at his home. He was born in Muskegon on May 10, 1944 to Clarence and Marjorie (Wilde) Green. Bill was a four-year veteran of the United States Air Force and served during Vietnam. He was a dedicated and hard worker and was employed by Chassix for over 30 years prior to his medical retirement earlier this year. Bill enjoyed working in his yard, cookouts, campfires, playing his guitar, and camping. He loved NASCAR and was an avid University of Michigan and New England Patriots fan. Most importantly, Bill loved his family and cherished time spent with them. He is survived by his wife, the former Holly Ann Zimmer; three daughters, Lisa (Nils) Larsen, Tiffany (Ryan) Fitzgerald, and April (Kirk Gossett) Lake; one grandson, Liam; five step-grandchildren, Valerie, Connor, Sophia, Koby, and Summer; sister-in-law, Molly Green; brother, Tom (Jill) Green; sister, Sally (Karen) DeWick; half-sister, Debbie (Mike) Yates; step-siblings, Ronald (Sandy) Holmes, Nancy (Mark) Hansen, and Ric (Gail) Holmes; sister-in-law, Marsha McLeod; brother-in-law, Mark (Debbie) Zimmer; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends, Chad Bengtson, Don Bostrom, Steve Ergman, and Jim Beggs. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leonard Green; step-mother, Vera Johnson; step-sister, Mary Jane Webster; and nephew, Tom Green. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Chaplain Adrian Eising officiating. VISITATION will be from 12-2 PM & 6-8 PM Monday, December 17, 2018 at The Lee Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family to help with medical expenses would be appreciated.
