Mr. William John Lee, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. William John Lee, Sr., age 90, passed away with his loving family by his side Sunday afternoon, May 12, 2013. He was born March 21, 1923 in Bayfield County, Wisconsin to Albert and Magdelene (Cunningham) Lee. Bill had worked many years as a Greyhound bus driver and retired from the Muskegon County Transit as a safety officer after 10 years of employment. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, was an avid Red Wing Hockey fan, and also enjoyed collecting and repairing clocks. On August 9, 1948 he married Kathleen “Kaye” Cooper in Toledo, Ohio and she preceded him in death on March 21, 2012. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Linda Moulds of Shelby, William (Kim) Lee, Jr. of Muskegon, Dixie (Tom) Paniucki of Roosevelt Park, Brenda (Bill) Huffman of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; brother, John Lee of Muskegon; 2 sisters, Sharrie (Tony) Messner and Nancy Gordon both of Hesperia; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Maendy Lynne Lee-Gady on March 19, 2011, by his son-in-law, Charlie Moulds on April 5, 2011, and by several brothers and sisters. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 with Pastor Julie Winklepleck officiating. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mercy VNS & Hospice.
