William D. "Bill" Link's Obituary
William Delos “Bill” Link, age 91, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023. He was born October 10, 1931 in Muskegon to Delos and Dorothy (Rosenhauer) Link. Bill graduated from Muskegon Heights High School and served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. On February 12, 1954, he married Patricia A. Spyke in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on September 1, 2016. Bill had worked as a welder for Brunswick for over 30 years prior to his retirement in 1993. He loved tinkering in his garage and could fix anything and duct tape was a favorite tool used in his garage. He could take anything with a gas engine and convert it to electric, including electric go-karts, motorcycles, minibikes, boat motors, and cars to name a few. He enjoyed reading and in his younger days liked to race cars. Bill could often be seen riding his bicycle well into his 90’s and handing out dog treats from his basket. SURVIVORS include his son, Steve (Joan) Link of Norton Shores; five grandchildren: Sara (Kyle) Bronkhorst, Teresa (Chris) Olson, Jimmy Link, Virginia (Dustin) Moored) Link, and William Link; six great-grandchildren: Max, John, Ace, Jacob, Amelia, and Elizabeth; brothers: Tom (Carolyn) Link of Fruitport and David Link of California; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Link; and two siblings: Donald and Mary Link. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE for Bill will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Norton Cemetery.
