William M. McDonald Jr.'s Obituary
William M. McDonald Jr., age 65, passed away after a short illness on January 4, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born on July 30, 1947 to William and Frances (Haze) McDonald Sr. in Muskegon. He worked for Michigan Spring (formerly American Coil Spring) for 33 years before retiring in July 2010. William enjoyed time with his grandkids, golfing, camping, hunting and fishing. On August 16, 1969, he married the former Gloria Smith and she survives him along with 1 daughter, Erin (Rob) Locke; 3 grandchildren, Ashlyn, RJ and Carly; 13 sisters and brothers; Kathleen (Roger) Southland, Mary Wiltenburg, Peggy (Thomas) Zagers, Thomas (Boni) McDonald, Clifford (Marilyn) McDonald, Carl (Helen) McDonald, John McDonald, Robert (Patricia) McDonald, Annette (Clarence) Town, Joan (Daniel) Bates, Elizabeth McDonald, Joyce (Ronald) Hudson, Donna (John) Dickenson; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathy (Gary) Gardenour and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Susan Niemczak. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8PM Wednesday. MEMORIALS to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
