William R. Nelson's Obituary
Mr. William R. Nelson, age 85, passed away at the Hume Home Sunday, June 22, 2014. He was born on July 18, 1928 to Alexander and Doris (Wainwright) Nelson in Muskegon. William served his country in US Navy. He retired from Sealed Power in 1990 and later owned Nelson’s Sharp All. William was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #668 and past member of the Moose Lodge #491. On February 18, 1948 he married Maxine Johnson and she preceded him in death on December 3, 2013. SURVIVORS include his son, Gerald J. Nelson of Norton Shores; brother, Albert W. (Joan) Nelson of Greenville, OH; sister, Maxine M. Lindback of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Danielson Keglovitz and brother, Charles A. Nelson. FUNERAL SERVICE and Military Honors will be held 3:00 PM Friday, June 27, 2014 at The Walburn Chapel 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Pastor Mark Nieuwsma officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. BURIAL will take place in Mona View Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the Hume Home would be appreciated.
