Mr. William Edwin Reinhold's Obituary
Mr. William Edwin Reinhold, age 81, passed away at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, Wednesday morning, June 1, 2016. William was born October 28, 1934 in Mooreland, MI to Ernest E. and Pearl (Lindgren) Reinhold. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army. On May 28, 1960, he married the former Grace VanderVeen and she survives him. Bill was a graduate of the University of Michigan. He went on to work in management at GTE for 27 years, and then worked with a private industry council in Benton Harbor until his retirement in 1988. He and Grace attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church for many years and had also spent countless hours volunteering for the American Red Cross. He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed by Grace, his wife of 56 years; his children, Laurel (Julius) Larson of Muskegon, Greg (Robin) Reinhold of Ida, MI, Mike Reinhold of Muskegon, and Cindi (Brian) Mullin of Glendale, AZ; 15 grandchildren, Kristi, Julie, Isaac, Sam, Leah, Jessica, Lauren, Jenna, Justin, Cody, Tyler, Courtney, Brennan, Aiden, and Colin; his sister, Betty Jean Lindell; sister-in-law, Pat Reinhold; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and twin brother, Bob. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11 AM Monday, June 6, 2016 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 3252 E. Apple Ave. with Rev. Fr. Antony Britto presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
