Mr. William L. Rollenhagen Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. William L. Rollenhagen, Jr., age 91, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on May 9, 1921 to William and Bertha (VanderLaan) Rollenhagen, Sr. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps and had served in WWII. He had worked in sales for several different electrical supply companies before retiring in 1986. Bill was a member of the Muskegon Moose Lodge No. 491 and the Muskegon Heights Eagles. He enjoyed hunting and golfing, and was an avid Detroit Tigers and Muskegon Mohawks fan. On September 16, 1950, Bill married the former June Elaine Schatz in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on July 10, 1986. He is survived by his son, Timothy (Marriane) Rollenhagen; his daughter, Janet (Paul) Wolcott; 6 grandchildren, Tim “T.J.”, Nick, Tessa, Steven, Sara, and Adam; 2 great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Bryce; his sister, Edith Kemp; and special friend, Bea. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Robert Rollenhagen. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100
with Rev. John Brown officiating and military honors performed under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council. VISITATION will be from 6-8PM Thursday. Burial will take place in Mona View Cemetery.
