William D. "Bill" Southland's Obituary
William D. “Bill” Southland, age 81, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Poppen Residence. He was born on February 24, 1944, to William and Jennie (Noordhof) Southland in Muskegon. Prior to retirement in 2006, Bill worked 42 years in sales for PepsiCo, Inc. Bill valued his family above all else, but also enjoyed working in his yard, participating in local car shows, and proudly owning a large Pepsi collection. On July 31, 1964, he married, Carla Plichta and she survives him along with two children, Marc (Leanne) Southland and Jill (Dan) Mason; 4 grandchildren, Will, CJ, Connor and Dylan; sisters, Jean (Max) Wierengo and Gloria (Keith) Shrum. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Daniel, Philip, and Jack Southland, and his sister, Evon Laman. A MEMORIAL GATHERING will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 31, 2026, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
