Mr. William Louis "Bill" Tardani's Obituary
Mr. William Louis “Bill” Tardani, age 87, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at his home. He was born October 27, 1926 in Muskegon to Luigi and Filomena “Minnie” (Girocco) Tardani and lived his entire life in the area. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. He was a proud graduate of Notre Dame where he earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Business. Bill worked over 40 years as an executive with Hackley Union Bank (now Comerica) and retired in the early 1990’s. He was a lifetime active member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and for the last 5 years, volunteered 2 days per week for the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry. He was also a former member of the Muskegon Country Club and Muskegon Century Club. Bill was an avid golfer and enthusiastically supported his Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Team. Bill is survived by his nephews, many cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Robert Tardani. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Matthew J. Barnum as celebrant. ENTOMBMENT will take place at St. Mary’s Mausoleum. VISITATION will be held 5-8 PM Monday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210.
