Mr. William E. Todd's Obituary
Mr. William E. “Bill” Todd, age 91, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 29, in Muskegon. He was born September 12, 1922 to James E. and Grace (Sweeney) Todd in Muskegon, and lived most of his life here except when wintering in Florida. Bill drove truck for Wolverine Express for 30 years and then drove tanker for Du Pont before retiring, loved golfing in both Michigan and Florida, and also picked up and delivered cars for several car dealerships. He served his country as a U.S. Marine during WWII, and belonged to the VFW Post #11179 in Ft. Meade, FL. Bill was married to the former Betty Jane Wilson, and she preceded him in death on August 16, 1998. SURVIVORS include 1 daughter, Betsy Todd of Norton Shores; 3 grandchildren, Timothy Edward (Melanie) Todd of Cedar Springs, William Todd Flaska of Grand Rapids, Christopher Todd Flaska of Grand Rapids; 2 great-grandchildren, Jonathan Patrick Flaska and Evelyn Rose Todd; brother, Charles (Nancy) Todd; sister, Marilyn Wenk. He was also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert & Lola Todd; and brothers-in-law John Wenk and William Wilson. THE FUNERAL SERVICE for Mr. Todd will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 2, at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, 49441, (231) 759-8565 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION at the funeral home will be from 5-8 PM Friday.
