William Vincent's Obituary
William Henry Vincent, age 89, of Grand Haven passed away Monday, March 6, 2006, at a local hospital. He was born October 21, 1916 to William M. and Lillian (Gerard) Vincent in Grand Haven, MI; and he married Eleanor Swiftney on November 16, 1939 in Grand Haven.
Mr. Vincent retired from Bastian Blessing. He was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Grand Haven where he served as a former deacon and was active in many facets of the church. Bill was an avid golfer and a charter member of the Tere Verde Golf Club in Nunica. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Eleanor; daughter Ruth Ann (David) Gustafson of Scottville; son Robert (Sandra) Vincent of South Haven; 7 grandchildren: Cathy Fletchall, Michael Gustafson, Sandra Fairfield, Todd Vincent, Scott Vincent, Melanie Vincent, and Laura Welton; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Helen Clark of Holton, Jean (Stanley) Zimmerman of Grand Haven, Delores Collins of Cleveland, OH, Geraldine Reese, 2 brothers, Robert Vincent of Grand Haven and Henry (Mary) Rolf of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters Evelyn Makin, Letha, Pearl and Isabelle.
