William E. Fields' Obituary
Mr. William E. Fields, age 75, died Thursday morning, February 9, 2006, in Muskegon. He was born June 5, 1930 in Central City, KY to John & Lillie (Fulkerson) Fields and had resided in the Muskegon area the past 20 years moving here from Ypsilanti, MI. Prior to his retirement, Bill had been a mason for the University of Michigan. He was a member of The Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene and was a former member of both the F.O.E and of the Moose Lodge in Ypsilanti. On December 22, 1948 he married the former Verna Foster and she survives him along with 6 children, Linda (Terry) Norris, Thomas (Ina) Fields, Martin “Dean” Fields, John (Robin) Fields all of Ypsilanti, Debbie (Steve) Matthews and Bradley Fields of Muskegon; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Jim, Jerry (Eva) & Les (Rhonda) Fields, all of KY and by 3 sisters, Betty (Lowell) Johnson, Frances (Paul) Uzzle and Jo Vincent, all of KY. Bill was preceded in death by his sisters, Gracie & Jeannie and by his brother Whitey. VISITATION in Muskegon will be 2-4 & 6-8PM Sunday at Sytsema Funeral Home,737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442, (231-726-5210). Visitation in Ypsilanti will be 2-4 & 6-8PM Tuesday at Starks Funeral Home, 101 S. Washington, Ypsilanti, MI 48197; where the FUNERAL SERVICE will also be held at 1 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2006. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to the Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene will be appreciated.
