William F. "Bill" Boukamp's Obituary
Mr. William F. Boukamp, 67, died Friday, May 6, 2011 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. Born Sept. 20, 1943 to Frank and Jennie (VanderWier) Boukamp, he was a life resident of the Muskegon area. Bill served 18 years with the U.S. Navy and was a retiree of MichCon, having worked in sales, dispatch, and as a Corrosion Control Technician there. Bill was a member of Forest Park Covenant Church and enjoyed Bible studies there; and volunteered for many organizations including bus driving and reading for Pioneer Resources and Head Start, Love INC, Hackley Hospital and the American Red Cross. SURVIVORS include his wife, Annajean (nee Syperda); three children: Paula (Christopher) Rowe of Fayetteville, NC, Chris (Beth) Boukamp of Havertown, PA, and Susan (Scott) Selby of Muskegon; six grandchildren: Zachary and Joshua Rowe, Paddy and Alex Boukamp, and Emily and Erin Selby; and two brothers: Frank Boukamp of Jenison and Rodger (Maxine) Boukamp of Grand Haven. His parents and two sisters: Joan Secrest and Delores Connell predeceased him. A FUNERAL SERVICE with military rites for Mr. Boukamp will begin at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 13, 2011 at Forest Park Covenant Church (3815 Henry St.) with Pastor Wally Coots officiating and interment in Norton Cemetery. VISITATION at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, 231-798-1100 will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Forest Park Covenant Church Memorial Fund or American Red Cross would be appreciated.
