William G. Judd's Obituary
Mr. William G. Judd, age 80, passed away at his residence July 30, 2007, following a long illness. The oldest of eight children, he was born July 26, 1927 in Norton Township to Amos and Marion (Weir) Judd. Bill graduated from Muskegon High School in 1945 and on August 23, 1957, he married the former Eloda M. Batchelder. He was a member of St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church, the American Legion and Viking Linne Lodge #57. Bill enjoyed hunting, playing cards, league bowling and geneology, following his family tree back to 1633. He also served in the Merchant Marine during W.W.II. Bill was formerly part owner of L&L Pattern and retired from Paragon Pattern in 1991. SURVIVORS: his wife, Eloda; 2 daughters, Michelle K. (James) Chick of Roosevelt Park and Kimberly A. (Gregory) Anderson of Holton; 2 brothers, Donald (Mary Lou) Judd of Muskegon and Robert (Bernice) Judd of North Muskegon; 3 sisters, Betty Hoisington and Lois (Gerald) Sattory both of Norton Shores and Mae Konya of North Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, William, Gregory, James, Thomas, Alaina and Timothy; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael E. Judd on June 11, 2003; 1 sister, Mary Mahoney; and 1 brother, Jack Judd. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Friday 11 A.M. at The Lee Chapel-Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, 231-798-1100, with Fr. David Brower and Fr. William Fleener presiding. INTERMENT: Norton Cemetery. VISITATION: Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
