William J. "Bill" Jannenga's Obituary
Mr. William J. “Bill” Jannenga, age 74, passed away Friday morning, January 7, 2005 in Muskegon. He was born on July 21, 1930 to Joseph and Mary (Zack) Jannenga in Muskegon and has been a life resident. Mr. Jannenga retired from Matson-Oldsmobile-Cadillac and was previously the owner of Carriage Motors. Bill was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and loved antiquing, fishing, boating, car racing and bowling. On May 10, 1952, he married the former Marlene Thornberg, and she survives him along with 4 children, Sandy (Tim) Stimers, Jim (Michelle) Jannenga, Lynda (Tom) Schalk, Dan (Renee) Jannenga; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Joan (Gary) Yerkie; and very special family and friends, Pam (Jeff) Knuppenburg and Marty (Kathy) Martinez. He is preceded in death by his parents. SERVICES will be 11AM Monday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert J. Conradt officiating. Visitation with the family will by 2-4 & 6-8PM Sunday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210.
