Mr. Willie C. West's Obituary
Mr. Willie C. West, age 59, passed away Friday afternoon, November 15, 2019, at his home, surrounded by family. Willie was born December 14, 1959 in Muskegon to Joe and Irene (Phillips) West. He was a 1979 graduate of Muskegon High School. On July 22, 2010, Willie married the former Sonja Joy Hancock in Muskegon and she survives him. Willie was a self-employed house painter over the last 20 years and prior to that had worked for Michigan’s Adventure. He attended Our Father’s Church. In addition to his wife Sonja, he is survived by his children, Tia West, Willie West Jr., Quan Kelly and Melissa (Johnny Gates Jr.) Allen; 13 grandchildren, brothers, Joseph West, Reginald West, Terrance West, and Tommy Ford. Willie was proceeded in death by his parents, sister, Brenda Smith; brothers, Martin West, Dennis West, and Tony West.
