Willie Bernice Williams' Obituary
Willie Bernice Williams, age 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2022, in Muskegon Heights, MI. She was born September 9, 1926, in the small town of Sharon, TN, to Pinky and Ola (Tansil) Richie. While living in Tennessee, Willie met Louis Williams and they would eventually marry in 1948 and spend 33 wonderful years together before his passing on June 12, 1981. Willie worked as a nurse aid at Roosevelt Park Nursing for 10 years. She was known for her knitting skills but mostly for her devout love for her family.
Willie will be greatly missed by her daughter, Jean Williams; grandchildren, Andre Williams Sr., Melody Latin, Deshunka Harris, Contessa Richardson, Louis Williams Jr., Ramon Grisham and China Williams; 11 great grandchildren; and leaving a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Willie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Frank Williams; and brother, John Richie. Arrangements entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E.
