Willis L. Huss' Obituary
Mr. Willis L. Huss, age 84, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, Wednesday, May 12, 2010. He was born on August 31, 1925 to Isidor G. and Rose A. (Wieber) Huss in Muskegon. Mr. Huss was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church. He served in the U.S. Army from September 20, 1945 to February 26, 1947. He had worked at SD Warren for 20 years, retiring in 1989. Mr. Huss enjoyed hunting, ice fishing and growing raspberries. On May 12, 1956 he married Jane A. Finley in Muskegon and she survives him along with 3 children, Gregory (Mary) Huss, Carole (James) Rocheleau and David (Julianne) Huss; 8 grandchildren, Kevin (Jackie) Huss, Emily (John) Elwell, Nathan Huss, Andy Rocheleau, Chris Rocheleau, Mike Rocheleau, Lydia (fiancé, Matt Deaner) Huss, Camille Huss; 1 brother, Gordon (Betty) Huss; 3 sisters, Anthonette (Nettie) Curtice; Delores (Tootie) Tardani and Louise Thivierge; 1 sister-in-law, Glenna Huss. Mr. Huss was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Jeffery A. Huss, 1 sister, Catherine Fuller and 3 brothers, Theodore Huss, Marvin Huss, Kyran (Pete) Huss. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Fr. D. Anton Tran, presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Monday, May 17, 2010 at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM Monday at the funeral home. MEMORIALS may be directed to Harbor Hospice. Entombment will be made at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
