Willy K. Tober's Obituary
Willy Karl Tober, age 68, of Grand Haven passed away Sunday, May 14, 2006, at a Muskegon hospital. Born July 12, 1937, to Paul and Elsa (Faude) Tober in Piaten, East Prussia (Germany), he married Pamela Hill August 30, 1969 in Grand Haven.
Mr. Tober moved to the United States April 21, 1950. He worked for L. W. Engineering in Holland, retiring in October 2002. He was formerly employed by Bastian-Blessing. Willy was an avid hunter and also enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling, working at SLHS sporting events, and his family.
Survivors include his wife Pamela; son Richard (Paige) Tober of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren, Jaxson and Addilyn; 2 brothers, Erich (Pat) Tober and Dieter (Vicki) Tober both of Spring Lake; 2 sisters-in-law, Judy Tober of Grand Haven and Sharon (Lynn) Stevens of Salt Lake City, UT; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Elsa Tober, brother Siegfried “Sig” Tober, and in-laws Eugene and Lillian Hill.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home, Grand Haven, with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
