Wilma Morrison's Obituary
Mrs. Wilma Morrison, age 88, died Friday, November 14, 2008 at the Heartwood Lodge in Ottawa County. She was born April 12, 1920 in Des Moines, Iowa to Cornelious and Bessie (Ervink) Steenhoven, and resided most of her life in the area. Mrs. Morrison enjoyed staying busy with her family, traveling and playing cards. On August 23, 1939 she married Harold Morrison, and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1993. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Patricia Lou (Jerry) Essebaggers of Fruitport, James E. (Barbara) Morrison of Spring Lake; 3 grandchildren, Susan Marie (Don) Hackney of Grand Haven, Kevin Lee (fiancée, Jessica) Essebaggers of Mt. Pleasant, MI, and Casey (Clarissa VandeWater) Morrison of New Haven, MI; great grandson, Logan James; and sister, Jeannette Seaman of Muskegon. Mrs. Morrison was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 5 sisters. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 11 AM Saturday, November 22, 2008 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM. Burial will take place in Ashland Center Cemetery.
