Wilma Rose (Kiss) Rahrig's Obituary
Wilma Rose (Kiss) Rahrig, age 90, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Chestnut Fields Living Center. She was born December 21, 1928 in Muskegon to Joseph and Katherine (Brezenyi) Kiss and lived her entire life in the area. On May 8, 1954, she married Donald F. Rahrig at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muskegon Heights and he survives her. Wilma worked as a bookkeeper and office manager. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Don Rahrig; 4 children, Jill Rahrig, Kurt (fiancé, Rei Gonzales) Rahrig, Kevin (Lori Houghton-Rahrig) Rahrig, Kent (Gwen Adams) Rahrig; 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Corey) Humfleet, Paul (Beth) Rahrig, Peter (Emily) Rahrig, Meredith Rahrig, Elaina Rahrig, Megan Rahrig, Andy Townsend; 4 great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Aiden, Jayce, Logan; 3 sisters-in-law, Helen Kiss, Ione Rahrig, Esther Rahrig; and very close family friend & “4th son”, Rudy (Judy) Varela. She was preceded in death by 1 grandson, John Ryan Bourdon in 2017; her parents; 1 brother, Steve Kiss; and 2 sisters, Helen Perley and Ann Henderson. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (150 E. Summit Ave.) with the Rev. Fr. Philip A. Shangraw presiding. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444 where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM Tuesday evening. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to Mass, 10-11 AM Wednesday in the Victor Miller Room at Sacred Heart. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Mausoleum.
