Wilma J. Coberly's Obituary
Mrs. Wilma J. Coberly, age 92, passed away Friday Morning, April 22, 2005. She was born on May 10, 1912 to William and Hattie (Wacht) VanDyke in Muskegon & had been a life resident of the area. She was a member of Unity Reformed Church and was active in its Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the Goodwill Auxiliary. Mrs. Coberly had worked as a cashier / bookkeeper for F.W. Woolworth Co. prior to her retirement. On November 24, 1937, she married Frank M. Coberly, and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1977. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, John and Pete VanDyke, and 2 sisters, Edith Waldorf & Henrietta DeLong. SURVIVORS include daughters, Nancy Ann Coberly of Muskegon and Karen (Dick) Solar of Sammamish WA; 2 brothers, Phil (Dorallee) VanDyke of Muskegon, and Don (Lois) VanDyke of Ferrysburg; 1 brother-in-law, Paul DeLong. SERVICES will be 11:00 am Monday at Unity Reformed Church (1521 Porter Rd.) with the Revs. Kyle DeYoung and James Bos officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 Sunday. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Goodwill Industries or Unity Reformed Church would be appreciated. Burial will take place at Restlawn Cemetery.
