Winifred Crago's Obituary
Mrs. Winifred “Winnie” R. Crago, age 91, passed away early Friday morning, April 8, 2005 in Muskegon. She was born September 1, 1913 to William and Ruth (James) Dymond in Houghton, MI, and moved to the Muskegon area in 1947. She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. “Winnie” made “Upper Peninsula Pasties” for family, friends and workers at the Paper Mill for 40 years; and started bowling at the age of 50. She bowled for 30 years on a league at Sherman Bowling Lanes; and could also play a “mean-game” of cribbage. Winnie married Richard R. “Red” Crago on June 11, 1932, and he preceded her in death on June 25, 1991. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Richard D. (Alyce) Crago, James (Kathy) Crago, Mary (Sam) Moler, all of Muskegon; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; 1 sister, Joyce Sullivan of Saginaw. She was also preceded in death by 2 daughters and their husbands, Margaret (Don) Mosher, Lois (Jim) Johnson, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd.,(231) 759-8565 with Rev. David A. Selleck officiating.
