Winnie P. Rankin's Obituary
Mrs. Winnie P. Rankin, age 77, a much beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010. She was born January 19, 1933 in Muskegon to Tony and Ellen (Sikkenga) VanderLinden, and resided in the area all of her life. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Dunes. Winona's first priority was caring for her family after which she found time to work in the retail industry. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert J. Rankin; daughters Pam (John) Brunner of McHenry, Il.; Robin (Charles) Ciotti and their children Danielle and Rachel of Highland, MI,; Jayne (Doug) Bridle of Knoxville, TN.; Sue (Doug) Richardson and their children, Sarah, Chris, Jennifer, Andy and great grandson Nolan of Spring Grove, IL; Mary Rankin of Grand Rapids MI; and sister Jackie (Bernie) Sobish of Norton Shores. The family extends a special thanks to the staff at Oakcrest Manor. The SERVICES will be 11AM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Daniel Duncan officiating. VISITATION with Winnie’s family will be 6-8PM Tuesday. Burial will take place in Spring Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hospice of North Ottawa or the Alzheimer’s Association will be appreciated.
