Winona R. Rowe's Obituary
Winona R. Rowe, age 70, passed away early Monday morning at Mercy Hospital following a long illness. She was born in Frankfort, MI on June 7, 1940 to George and Ruth Hamner. Following graduation from Benzonia H.S. in 1958, Winona moved to Muskegon to attend and then graduate from Muskegon Business College. She was employed at Sun Oil Co. for many years and retired from Thill Oil Co. in 1986. Winona married Mr. Ralph M. Rowe in Benzonia, MI on December 17, 1960 and he survives her along with their: two children, Devlyn (Kenneth) Borgman of Ravenna and Jeffrey (Annette Roest) Rowe of Fruitport; two grandchildren, Kristy and Rebeka Borgman; one brother, Willard (Marilyn) Hamner of Ocala, FL; a sister, Juanita Cady of Benzonia, MI; four step-children, Allan, Randy, Windra and Rod; six step-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at: The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100, 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 11, 2011, Rev. Gerald Hagans officiating. Visitation: Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Interment: Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
