Mrs. Yvonne Lucille Evans' Obituary
Mrs. Yvonne Lucille Evans, age 82, passed away Friday afternoon, October 4, 2019, surrounded by her family. Yvonne was born March 18, 1937 in Detroit to Anthony J. and Bella M. (Papillon) Bourque. On August 29, 1959, she married Richard A. Evans in Detroit and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2018. Yvonne was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading and gardening. Yvonne also loved doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending all their football games. She is survived by her children, Richard Mark (Karene) Evans of Twin Lake, Mary Colleen (Douglas) Goebel of Ravenna, Robert Anthony (Jill) Evans of Walker, and Nannette Marie (Michael) Chorny of Montague; 9 grandchildren, Richard D. Evans, Rachel Andrews, Samantha, Seth, and Shane Goebel, Cassandra and Zachary Evans, Brent (Vanessa) Chorny, and Ryan Chorny; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Richard, Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Donald and Robert Bourque. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1100 Dykstra Rd. with Rev. Fr. Bart Okagbue Presiding. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the Mass (10-11AM). Memorial Contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Church or The Harbor Hospice Foundation.
