Yvonne E. Jeffery's Obituary
Yvonne Elaine Jeffery, age 80, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017. She was born June 18, 1936 in Newaygo County, MI to Clyde Abner and Sarah Emily (Hurd) Burrington. On May 25, 1956, she married Gerald “Jerry” Jeffery in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on July 22, 2001. Yvonne worked over 20 years for Lorin Industries – Kersco Division before her retirement in 1990. She attended Muskegon First Free Methodist Church. Yvonne especially enjoyed the LifeCircles program and all the friends she had met there. SURVIVORS include 5 children: Barbara (Russell) Strait, Joseph (Leeann) Jeffery, LuAnn Jeffery, Kathy Jeffery, Susan (Charles) Anderson; grandchildren: Jennifer Strait, Christopher Strait, Rebecca (Adam) Skuse, Meghan (Jerry) Stout, Joshua Jeffery, Sarah Jeffery, Adam Anderson, Jason Jeffery, Amy Jeffery, Rachel Anderson; great-grandchildren: Christopher Smith, Zachary, Anabel, and Madelyn Skuse; 4 sisters: Pauline Thiel, Florence Bean, Betty Gerard, and Doris (Patrick) Rainbolt; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Jeffery; grandson, Andrew Killian; 3 brothers: Floyd, Andy, and Bernard “Bill” Burrington; and 4 sisters: Millie Becker, Barbara Burrington, Alice Twining, and Judy Burrington. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Muskegon First Free Methodist Church with Pastor Carlos Ramos officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in Fruitport Cemetery. MEMORIALS to LifeCircles will be appreciated.
