Zachary Watt's Obituary
Mr. Zachary Watt, age 41, of Ferrysburg passed away August 30, 2023 at home. He was born May 28, 1982 in Houston, Texas to Steven and Kathleen (Stanley) Watt and graduated from Spring Lake High School class of 2000.
Zachary had a voracious appetite for knowledge and never stopped learning. His beautiful library of books was one of his prized possessions. He enjoyed learning about religions, philosophy (with a special interest in metaphysics), and nature. He was a wonderful conversationalist, and we will miss his witty banter and deep knowledge of all things. He enjoyed participating in theater. Many were shocked to see this very tall, large, and typically quiet man singing and dancing on the stage! He had many hobbies and interests, including photography, gaming, Star Wars, being outdoors, and animals. He loved big and would do anything for his family and friends, gladly helping both of his parents during their own illnesses . He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his adoring nieces who he often called the highlights of his life.
He is survived by his parents, Steven and Kathleen; sister and “first best friend “, Katie Morgan; three nieces: Taylor, Ella and Adalyn; special aunt Anne; and friend, Will Dirkse. He was preceded in death by his beloved cat, Franklin P. Kittenpaw III.
There will be no services for Zachary at this time, with plans for a celebration of life in the future. Memorial contributions in his memory may be given to a organization of your choosing.
Memorial contribution ideas: Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary, any mental health and/or addiction service
The family is being served by The Spring Lake Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 213 E. Savidge St. Spring Lake, MI 49456.
