Zofia Maciag's Obituary
Mrs. Zofia Maciag, age 89, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Muskegon. She was born January 23, 1929 in Wilno, Poland to Stanley and Helena Stankiewicz and came to the United Sates in 1969 where she made her home in Norton Shores. She married Frank Maciag and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2011. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Zofia enjoyed baking and cooking for her family. She was a talented seamstress and especially enjoyed flower gardening. SURVIVORS include her daughter, Elizabeth (Eric Lankerd) Maciag-Lankerd; 2 grandsons, Michael and Joshua Lankerd; step-son, Richard Maciag; step-daughter, Barbara (Gordon) Johnson; 6 step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Conner, Chase, Jennifer, Alyssa, and Laura; 2 step-great grandchildren, Alexander and Lily; her family in Poland, sister, Salomea Szefer, 2 nieces and 1 nephew. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00am Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in Marian Chapel at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (2929 McCracken St.) with the Rev. Fr. Charlie Hall presiding. VISITATION will be held 5-8pm Tuesday evening at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., 231-759-8565 and one hour prior to Mass, 10-11am Wednesday in Marian Chapel. The Rosary will be prayed at 5:30pm Tuesday. INTERMENT will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
