Mr. Alan “Al” Bohland, age 80, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at his home. He was born on May 12, 1935 in Muskegon to Phillip and Lulu (Stone) Bohland, and resided in the area all of his life. Al worked for the City of Norto Read Obituary

We are so sorry for your loss.
We are very grateful that we got to know Al. He was the kindest man and a great cook.
We will always cherish our memories of him.

Judy sent a note about Al’s passing. Please extend my thoughts and sympathy to everyone. Al has a very special and warm place in my heart and mind. The times I had with the “Muskegon” group growing up were some of my most memorable ones, and Al was always a major part of that time. I recall that Judy and I would spend a week or so in the summer up in Muskegon going to the beach, fishing, or just goofing around. Similarly I recall the good times with everyone at our cottage on Horsehead Lake – fishing, swimming, and of course playing cards (whenever two Bohlands got together a deck of cards was always within reach). One of the downsides of living away for so many years is that you loose track of relatives who were such an important part of earlier years. For that I am sad. Again, please express my thoughts and good will towards everyone as they go this this difficult time.
