Terry, Pam, Julie and families, I was so sorry to hear of your dad's passing and wished I could have been able to attend the funeral or visitation. Lots of memories of our two families farming just around the corner from each other. The sharing of work, chores, laughter, tears and love. I remember your dad as kind and gentle always having time to stop and talk. How times have changed. I remember my folks going to your house or your folks coming to our house to use the phone. We were on 2 different lines, yours went to Hull, ours to Orange City, so as not to spend any unnecessary money on long distance they used each others lines. Saving bucks but building lasting relationships. May God bless you with his comfort and wonderful memories to carry you through these time.

My mom told me of your dads passing and I just wanted to send my sympathy to your family. Our families go way back to when we were growing up. Many good times were spent playing on the farm when our moms had trio practice. Bob and your dad often talked farming later when we moved to the neighbor hood. Brent Ryan and Justin have fond memories of your parents too. May God give you peace as you lay your dad to rest. May our eternal Father hold you close.

It was always enjoyable to visit with Al either at his residence, in a restaurant, or at church. His smile was infectious and he always was so positive. The term "gentleman" applied to him because he was a very nice, gentle man who cared about others and was so proud of his family. I will miss him.
