Alberta M. "Bert" Elliott's Obituary
Heaven is rejoicing in the passing of Mrs. Alberta M. “Bert” Elliott, on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in Muskegon at the age of 95. She was born August 30, 1916 in Muskegon to Velo and Elizabeth (Bouchard) Houle, and resided here most of her life. Bert was a member St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, and volunteered at Mercy Hospital for many years. She was a gifted musician on the piano, and loved spending time with her Bible study group from church. On January 14, 1942 she married Henry Elliott, and he preceded her in death in 1984. SURVIVORS include 3 daughters, Elizabeth Forbes of Hastings, MI and her children: Robert (Shelba) Forbes, Abby (Kevin) Miller, Holly (Brock) Hanson, and John Forbes, Margaret (Frank) Willman of Muskegon and their children: Richard (Mindy) Willman, and Katie (Jeremy) Greenwood, and Jane (Steve) Warren of Grand Rapids and their children: Annie (Matt) Meyer, and Emily (Mitch) Blink; 15 great grandchildren, and special nephew, Terry MacAllister. Alberta was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Velo Houle, Armand Houle, Joseph Houle and Roland Houle; and 3 sisters, Cheryl Wilkinson, Adrienne MacAllister, and Delyte Ambrose. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11AM Friday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding.
