Chris & Ruth Sorensen
My wife and I sang with Lee in the Spring Lake Presbyterian Church choir for two years. After she became unable to attend church, we lost track of her for several years. In June of 2013 we played music at the Spring Lake library for the residents of The Little Red House. Just before we started playing, I saw Lee in a chair right in front of me! I went over to her and said hello, told her who I was and that I brought greetings from the choir. She apologized and said that she did not remember me or singing in a choir. Part way through playing, my wife and I played a couple of the Gospel songs that we had played at church. I looked at Lee and She had a huge smile and pointed at me and gave me wink, as she had done many times at church. When we finished playing and we were saying goodbye, Lee squeezed my hand and said that SHE REMEMBERED! She started naming choir members and songs that we had sung and told us to tell everyone hello! We did not see her again after that, but it was nice to knows that we brought back some memories for her. Sad to hear about her passing, but know she is singing in Heaven.
