Alegria "Lee" Brown's Obituary
Mrs. Alegria “Lee” Brown, age 87, of Spring Lake passed away Monday, December 22, 2014. She was born July 27, 1927 in Belding to Albert and Nellie (Peck) Teachworth.
Alegria had attended Spring Lake Presbyterian Church for many years and sang in the choir, and had served as a volunteer for International Aid. When her children were small she also was a cub scout and a brownie leader.
Alegria married Roland Brown on May 18, 1949 in Big Rapids and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1993. She is survived by three children: David B. (Betty) Brown of Spring Lake, Diane (Edward) Smith of Nunica, Donna (Douglas) Grant of Spring Lake; Seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, David B. Brown and sister, Delores (Joseph) Gondeck.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 26, 2014 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Spring Lake Township Cemetery.
