Alex R. Picard, 82, of Muskegon, Michigan died at his home in Ashville, AL as were his wishes on May 2nd, 2024 with his wife close by. He was born in Muskegon, MI in 1941 to Robert “Bob” and Jeannie Picard. He graduated from Musk Read Obituary
I was one of the nurses who took care of Alex several times in the hospital. He was such a a joy to care for. His wit and humor was sharp but he was very sweet and always appreciative of the care he received. Anyone who took care of him could not help but love him.
I am saddened to learn of his passing. My prayers are with his family

Alex was a good friend of my late husband Russ Thornton. They had great times when they were younger driving their sports cars all over and then again reconnecting after retirement. I met Alex when I was 16 and working my first job at Walters Variety store when he came in asking me to show him the left handed monkey wrenches. Of course there was no such thing but I didn’t know that. That was Al, always a fun guy. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to Roxanne and his family.
Alex was a great guy. He always had a good sense of humor. You wondered if he was pulling your leg when he told you a story.
Roxanne and Alex were great people to visit. We played cards & went out to eat. We also ate some wonderful meals at their home also
When they were here in Michigan, Alex liked
going to The Fruitport Conservation Gun Club with Ken to shoot his gun & visit with all the guys. He enjoyed that a lot.
They camped in the summer up here & we all had a nice time with them.
Alex will be missed by us & many other people.

Alex was such a dear, dear friend, and my husband, Duane, and I loved him as a brother. He had a wit like none other, and he could always make me laugh. He would come up with ridiculous stories, and tell them so convincingly, that I would have to look at Roxanne to know if I should believe him or not. The four of us enjoyed some great little adventures together....our trip to Mackinac Island, our ride on the Port City Princess, jeeping in Baldwin, trips to Fishtown, and many nights playing cards with friends. I will miss his smile and his laughter, but I know he is in the arms of his Lord, along with Duane, and they are probably enjoying each other's company once again. Rest in peace my friend.
