Although only my brother and sister were Maycroft Square Tappers (my mom thought I was too old to join), I have so many happy memories of the Square Tappers and of the Maycroft family. It was nice to see Randy, Debbie, and Nanette tonight - whatever the circumstances. Wishing you all the best, and so glad you can rest assured that your mom is in heaven. Love, Lin(da) Thompson Borduin
Alice always a believer in the Lord. This is for you from the family of Dennis Zietlow Rick and Beth.
There was a song written long ago called Foot Steps in The Sand! This is my version to Alice's family.
Alice use to love walking along the shoreline talking to her Lord and looking down and seeing two sets of foot prints in the sand. She would say Lord I know I can't see you but I do see your foot steps in the sand. So she knew he was with her. One day things were not going very good and she was troubled. Alice took a walk along the beach talking to her Lord only to discover that there were only one set of foot prints in the sand. She became very up set and wondered why her Lord would leave her at such a time. One day she asked her Lord why did you leave me, because there were only one set of foot steps in the sand. It got very still and then the Lord said to Alice " I would never leave you at your time of need! The reason for only one set of foot steps was because it was mine. I carried you through your troubled times. I can see right know Alice looking down at the sand and seeing many sets of foot steps and asking her Lord what are all the foot steps? The Lord replied they are your family and many friends carrying you through the sands!
May your family be blessed and that the Lord will help us all by walking in the sand.

I remember when Jamie first started Square Tappers the only person Jamie would dance with was Your Grand Daughter Addie,as years went by Jamie started Dancing with any Partner. You will be greatly Missed.
So sorry to hear of your loss, Tom, Debbie and the whole family. All of us at L-3 and CNS share our condolences and are thinking of you all.
How much time did I spend at the Maycroft home during my high school years? Such memories of this precious woman and her zest for life... Her smile was contagious and her hugs, the best! My deepest sympathies to Kathy and the entire Maycroft family! Praying for you all...
Kathy,
My love goes out to you and your family. After reading what others have written about your mom, I know where you get your spirit. Keep "dancing" that's what Alice would want you to do. Hugs, Diana
What an incredible example of true Christian love Alice has been to all who were fortunate enough to have known her! Her smiles and hugs were absolutely inspiring. When I hear Vince Gill sing "Think Of Us" I am reminded of Alice and Gene. This line in the song sums it up: "When they want to see what true love can be, they'll just think of us." That is one fantastic legacy for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to cherish forever.
Sorry we won't be in town this weekend to share memories with the family, but you will be in our prayers as we travel to North Carolina to be with Jeff and his family this weekend.
