I met Alice about 15 years ago and Howard met her after he put an ad in the paper when he was selling wood about 25 years ago. It started out as a young boy trying to sell a load of wood and it turned into friendship. We both admired her courage, hard work, her love of her animals, the joy she got when she worked in her yard. Howard and I were always were amazed when she would call us up to come and get her bags of leaves she had racked. We couldn't believe that a lady of her statue could rack all thoes leaves. I never could do it. She was truly a "friend" to both of us. And we both wanted you to know that she will truly be missed by us and we wished we could of spent more time time with her this past year. She was one of a kind. I just take comfort knowing that she is not suffering anymore. We loved Alice and I am so glad I got that big hug the last time I seen her.
