Alice E. Peters' Obituary
Alice E. Peters, age 85, formerly of West Olive, passed away Monday, February 16, 2009, at a Muskegon hospital. She was born November 4, 1923, in West Olive to William and Bertha (Kuttig) Maschewske, Sr., and she married Charles Peters on October 25, 1947, in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1984.
Alice formerly attended St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grand Haven. She enjoyed gardening and her pet dogs.
She is survived by a daughter, Rosemarie Peters of Coopersville; two nephews, William (Elizabeth) Maschewske III of West Olive and Jack (Alice) Maschewske of Grand Haven; a niece, Barbara Maschewske of Grand Haven; a grand-niece, Michelle Walker; a grand-nephew, Max Maschewske; special caregivers Stephanie Cross, Deborah and Byron Buitendorp, and Kurt Schmehiel; and special friends Howard and Deborah Gardner.
The service for Alice was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at the Lee Chapel of Lake Forest Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Cook officiating. Interment was in Lake Forest Cemetery.
