I wish I could have been there for you Kay, that is the bad part about being half a country away. I know you loved him very much despite everything and I know he loved you too. NOBODY is perfect, but I know he would want you to be happy. He is free and at peace now, and I know he would want you to move forward and continue with your life journey. Eventually when the grief is more bearable you will remember the happy times you did have camping, traveling and the laughter and good times you shared. You will remember all the help he was to you and to Mom & Dad when you and they needed it and it will be a comfort. It showed how much he cared for you. This is a time for family and I hope your family will come through for you and will help you through the grief. Time will help too and you may see each other again in a better life. I may not have known Butch as well as I could have but I am sure some of the comments posted would embarrass and shame him. He was to good of a person for such comments. I really liked cammping with Butch Diane and Trease when we were younger and when Butch and Diane lived in Benton Harbor my mom and dad and us four girls always went for rides to see them every weekend When we lived in White Cloud, and Muskegon. I think Butch was one of the best uncles that you could ask for becasue he was one of the only ones we saw, We never saw Ralph and hardly saw Jerry we drove to Benton Harbor to see Butch and Diane all of the time.. So I don't know why Diane's name was left out of the obituary she was married to Butch for 16 to 17 yrs. How do you think is kids got on the earth.##imported-begin##Kimberly Bevans##imported-end##

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I found Dads obituary on MLIVE.com under the muskegon chronicle ad. I really would have liked to attend but hadn't heard any thing from you. I hope I wasn't mistaken when you said you would call me as soon as you made the arrangements. Today is Thursday and it's after five now, I wish you had called like you said, but maybe it's easier on you if I don't come? Thats the ONLY thing I can think of. It really hurts to not be notified of the service and very shocking to find it on the internet instead of hearing it from you Kathy. Any way I hope you are doing as well as possible.
