Mr. Aloysius C. Folta's Obituary
Mr. Aloysius C. Folta, age 89, passed away Wednesday morning, April 30, 2014 at an area care facility. Al was born June 20, 1924 in Hesperia to John and Victoria (Krol) Folta. He had been employed by Dresser Industries in the shipping department for 43 years prior to his retirement in 1986. On November 24, 1989 Al married the former Mildred Solis and she survives him. Al was a longtime member of Our Lady of Grace, and a life member of the Muskegon Heights Eagles. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and loved ballroom dancing. He was also an artist who enjoyed painting. He also enjoyed watching the Lions, Tigers, and MSU; he and his buddies attending the games for 40 years. In addition to Millie, his wife of 24 years, Al is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jude Folta; sisters, Antonette Sherwood, Stephanie Jonaitis and Sophie Harris; nephew, John Jonaitis; and niece, Victoria Jonaitis. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 451 South Getty, with Rev. Fr. Matthew Barnum officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (10-11 AM) at the church. Burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery of Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to The National Institute of Neurological Disorders or to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
