Alta worked for my father as his bookeeper/secretary. She was very helpful when I worked in the office after school, showing me the proper way to work in an office. She was also my father's "right hand person", always making sure that he worded a letter in the correct way, fixing what needed needed correction. My father knew he could depend on her no matter what.

Mrs. Patterson was my dad's bookkeeper at M & I Supply where I worked after school a few days a week. She very patiently taught me how to run an efficient office. To this day I still follow her example! My father, Lavern VanKersen, was always very thankful to have such a loyal employee.
